Concrete Reinforcing Type-1 Steel Fibre
Reopave 25 conforms to the ASTM A820 code and is a loose Type 1 drawn fibre. This fibre can be used for concrete reinforcing and crack control in almost any situation. Reopave 25 is suitable for use in concrete for slab on grade, precast and dry shotcrete applications.
This fibre provides value to end users by adding toughness and increasing flexural strength to the designed concrete elements. Reopave 25 complies to the NSW RTA R83/8 specification for steel fibres. It can be used by local councils, road authorities, road contractors, precast manufacturers and the mining industry.
Reopave 25 is produced from bright 1100 MPa tensile drawn wire which is then shaped into 35 mm long hookend fibres of 0.85mm diameter. The hookend design provides non-rigid anchorage which allows the fibre shape to absorb rupture energy without breakage. The fibre is designed to retain its cross sectional shape and therefore avoid brittle failure in high load situations. Reopave 25 has an aspect ratio (length/wire diameter) of 35. This moderate aspect ratio provides a good blend of performance and toughness for any application. The individual fibre count per kilogram of Reopave 25 is approximately 7,530 fibres.
